One of the great saints of India Samarth Ramdas was the contemporary of Shivaji Raja. He was a great thinker, organizer, poet and writer. His writings still influence crores of Indians even after 400 years of his life. The fourth centenary of Samarth Ramdas was celebrated by VMF in Mumbai. Dr. Snehlata Deshmukh, ex vice chancellor of Mumbai University presided over the specially executed committee. Dr. Vijay Bhatkar, Swami Dharmendra Maharaj, Jayant Salgaonkar and several other dignitaries were on the dais. The celebration started with singing a few unknown poems of Samarth Ramdas.
