Gitanjali Rao Youngest Scientist ( Inspirational Story )
While other 11-year-olds were watching cartoons on TV, Gitanjali Rao was very interested in hearing the news of science and technology. And one such day while watching the news, Gitanjali came to know about the high alert of water crisis happening in our Finnish city, Where the problem of drinking water had increased in the entire city due to the increase in the amount of lead in the water. This news greatly affected Gitanjali and 11-year-old Gitanjali decided that she would do something that would help the whole city. Since the water crisis in many of us had increased at that time, our Environmental Protection Agency used to go door to door to collect water samples.
Meanwhile, in Gitanjali, she sees her mother using a basic test strip to test her waters. Seeing this, Gitanjali says that she was quite surprised as she did not find it the right way at all. Seeing the condition of this saree, a plan came to make Gitanjali a yantra. With the help of which the amount of lead in the water can be easily checked, Gitanjali contacted the researcher of 3M’s manufacturing company and requested to start his research with his help. 3M is an American company whose full form is “Minnesota Mining and Manufacturing Company”. This company is known for manufacturing consumer electronic components. The 3M researcher wholeheartedly welcomed Gitanjali and fully supported the idea of Gitanjali. Finally the journey of Gitanjali’s hidden talent started from here and lunched her device TETHYS in Gitanjali.
The Basikli TETHYS is a small device that consists of a 9 volt battery, a lead sensing unit, a bluetooth extension and carbon nanotubes that change their color and resistance when the leads are touched. Gitanjali came to know about these nanotubes when she was checking the website of MIT. So finally Tethys Lunch happened and was very successful not only in America but all over the world. And apart from America, the rest of the country also started using TETHYS. Then after making such a successful full device, when it comes to its price, you will be surprised to see, its price was kept at BS 20 dollars. After making this successful yantra, Gitanjali was recognized all over the world and Gitanjali earned more name in other countries than India. Gitanjali received America’s Top Young Scientist Award with a cash value of $25,000.
Phoebe was also included in the 30 under 30 list of 2019. Gitanjali also received the US Environmental Protection Agency Youth Award and Gitanjali also won the Top Health Pillar Prize Student Challenge. Apart from this, Gitanjali has also been the speaker of TEDx thrice. Which is a great thing for a thirteen year old student. And not only this, Gitanjali was also invited to last year’s TEDx India, where Gitanjali gave a very beautiful speech to the scientists around the world. Gyananjali says that if superheroes from films come in real life then we all will go to respect and appreciate them, but real life scientists who have changed the world by doing historical research, who are no less than a film hero, they are many. are people. Ignore time.
